Audible guidance in the 21st-century urban landscape

Smart audio beacons guide users with sound, helping them locate entrances, elevators, and key destinations independently. It can be used in a variety of public spaces.

This smart audio beacon is specially designed to support the safe and independent movement of people who are blind or visually impaired, and it can also help people with mobility issues.

The smart audio beacon goes beyond traditional audio wayfinding solutions—it doesn’t just beep, it speaks to the user.

  • Our smart beacons can be programmed to provide spoken directions in the user’s preferred language.
  • The beacon only activates when someone enters its range using the free MyMovEO app or the Okeenea Button, keeping ambient noise to a minimum and ensuring a peaceful environment.

The smart audio beacon activates only when a person approaches it.
Unlike conventional devices, it does not disturb passersby, nearby residents, or customers in surrounding shops—ensuring a peaceful environment for all.

Installing and Using the Smart Audio Beacon

Easy installation:

  • The audio beacon is delivered pre-programmed with the spoken messages agreed upon with the customer.
  • The device is mounted quickly and securely using just two screws.
  • All settings—including volume, playback timing, and other parameters—can be adjusted wirelessly.

Works with MyMovEO App or Okeenea Button

  • The beacon is compatible with MyMovEO, a mobile app designed specifically for people with visual impairments.
  • The app is available free of charge from the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android).
  • Once the app is activated, the user only needs to have their phone with them—in their pocket, for example.

When the user enters the beacon’s Bluetooth range, the beacon automatically recognizes the device and plays a clear, spoken message to help guide them safely forward. Alternatively, the beacon can be triggered using the Okeenea Button, a physical remote designed for the same purpose.
